After three years and two children, Nicole Richie is finally planning her wedding to love of her life Joel Madden and family friends say the 28-year-old socialite could not be more difficult. While Joel “would be happy if they just went to a justice of the peace,” tattles tell In Touch Weekly that Nicole has been obsessing over every detail of the upcoming nups — from what dress she’ll wear down to who will walk her down the aisle, her famous dad Lionel or her mom Brenda.
“Also, Nicole wants to wear couture, and that could cost $150,000 or more.”
David Tutera — host of My Fair Wedding-has some advice for Nicole’s loved ones: “Every bride has her moments of being overwhelmed. They should all try to find a middle ground and create a wedding that feels big and important, but also has an understated elegance to it.”

Kim Cattrall chatted with MTV about Miley Cyrus‘ appearance in Sex & The City 2:‘She flew in, and she was literally there for, like, three or four hours. So then she was gone again. It was like this teen queen landed, and then she blasted off, because she’s of a certain age, and she can only work certain hours.
And, of course, we were there until 4 in the morning. She was very sweet, and she was so excited by the fact that she was a part of this, and that was exciting for us. I mean, all of our guest stars, Liza Minnelli, Penélope Cruz and Miley, it really adds a couple more sparkles.’

Taylor Swift opened up to People magazine on fashion and her new Cover Girl job:
‘I love makeup. When I go on stage, I get to play with my look and try on all kinds of different colors, try red lips tonight, purple eyeshadow tomorrow. You get to play around with all these different characters, and I think that’s one of my favorite things about makeup, you can put on a new character.
I wanted to sort of show how makeup can play up your natural features. It’s not about changing how you look. I feel like I still look like myself, and that’s exactly what I hoped for.’
On getting style ideas: ‘I’m a big people-watcher. When I see a girl walking down the street wearing a really cool necklace or an outfit that’s put together in a way I wouldn’t have thought of, it’s inspiring to me.’
Also, girls come through my meet and greet lines every night wearing dresses or outfits I love. That’s really my favorite way to be inspired by fashion.’
Her favorite stores: ‘On the road, I love wearing sun dresses. Some of my favorite things to wear are by Alice + Olivia, Rebecca Taylor, Betsey Johnson, Anthropologie, and Urban Outfitters.’
On designing: ‘I’m not planning on a fashion line right now. I’m really wrapped up in recording and writing my next album, so I’ve only taken on a few extra things lately. I love fashion and dressing up for red carpets, but I want to wait until I have enough time to dedicate to something like that.’

Katy Perry and Russell Brand have been house-hunting in New York.
The couple – who already have properties in London and Los Angeles – were seen at an open house viewing of a two-bedroom apartment in the Alphabet City area of the East Village yesterday (11.04.10).
According to a source, who was also looking at the property, the couple were “dressed like they hadn’t changed since going out the night before” and the ‘Forgetting Sarah Marshall’ actor broke property-viewing etiquette by asking if he could use the bathroom.
Katy’s friend Rihanna recently revealed the pair – who got engaged while holidaying in India in December – will be returning to the country for their wedding.
Speaking about planning her pal’s pre-wedding party, she said: “She put that on me last week. I have to come up with something cool because she’s getting married in India so I’m like, ‘OK, now what do I do to match that?’ ”
It has also been claimed that Katy is planning to wear a revealing stomach-bearing wedding gown.
A source said recently: “Katy knows her toned torso is her best feature, so she wants to show it off. She’s also more than aware that her wedding photos will be seen the world over, so she knows her look needs to stand out. From the back, she wants to look like a traditional bride, with a very long train, but from the front, she wants a Vegas-style sequined number with exposed skin.”
