The ‘Mamma Mia!’ actress has denied rumors she and her co-star have split up, but admits her feelings for the British hunk have always been much stronger than his are for her.
She said: “I waited around. I was pretty desperate for a while. It was about three years ago, and the desperation lasted for 18 months. I waited and waited while he figured his s**t out. It was meant to be, it was meant to happen, and I was meant to wait for him. At the time it’s hard and you don’t know if what you’re doing is right or wrong; that’ll come out later in life.
“If I have strong feelings for someone, I’m going to tell them immediately and they can do what they want with it. Thankfully, it’s usually been mutual in my life, but this relationship wasn’t mutual for a while.”
Although Amanda claims she and Dominic are happy and settled in their relationship, the blonde beauty admits they have split up before.
She added to heat magazine: “I walked away a couple of times, then I walked right back!
“We’re flippant and serious. In my first two relationships, I didn’t have that balance at all. In my recent relationship, we have the perfect balance. We can go deep into thought and analyze things together, but then we can also be silly. That’s what I love about Dominic – he can be so light and willing to give and take, and change. It’s a wonderful thing when you have that balance, and when you don’t have it something is missing.”

Amanda Seyfried is taking a break from Dominic Cooper.
The actress has been dating her Mamma Mia! co-star since the pair met on the set of the movie musical in 2008, but Amanda has reportedly decided to call time on her love affair with the handsome Brit while they figure out where their relationship is going. In an interview last month, Amanda admitted that she wasn’t sure if the 31-year-old hunk was the all too elusive “One.”
“Amanda and Dominic have been on and off for a while – and right now they’re taking a break. But they’re great friends and could still get back together,” a source told PEOPLE.com.
The mag also reported that Dominic was seen spending time with Amanda’s Mean Girls co-star, Lindsay Lohan during the Cannes Film Festival this week — he was even caught with his arm around LiLo’s waist!
Amanda Seyfried can do so much better.

Amanda Seyfried no longer finds Dominic Cooper’s accent sexy.
The actress has been dating the British actor since 2008 after meeting on the set of ‘Mamma Mia!’ and while she finds English voices attractive, Dominic’s tones no longer do it for her.
She said: “To be honest, I don’t even notice it anymore. It was really sexy at first – and I still find it so attractive on other British men – but I’ve been with him now for so long, I don’t hear it. He’s like an extension of me.”
Amanda is based in New York and Dominic is in London so the pair make keep in contact with each other via the internet, although she admits it’s not always romantic.
She said: “We Skype. It’s boring, but it’s true.
“We don’t even sit in front of the computer. The other day, I was cleaning, he was cleaning. We couldn’t see each other – we were just scrubbing away and talking like we were in the same room.”
Although she finds being apart from Dominic difficult, the blonde beauty admits they do see each other quite a lot.
She told InStyle Hair magazine: “I worked hard in 2009, but it didn’t seem that hard. I spent two months in London with Dominic. I shot in Verona, Italy, for ‘Letters to Juliet’. I mean, how hard is that?”
Amanda Seyfried has spoken about the grossness of her raw food diet, and now she says it’s just one of the difficult things she does to stay thin.
“I clearly like being fit, but it’s not thin without a hell of a lot of work – I run and I exercise a lot and then I eat,” she told AOL’s StyleList. “The week of that interview I was on a raw food cleanse, which I do occasionally. I’m in my mid-20s and I know how to look after my body on my own. I’m not going to deny that I don’t think about it every day, it’s always on my mind.”
Staying body obsessed is just part of her job.
“I have to stay in shape because I’m an actress,” Seyfried said. “It’s f**ked up and it’s twisted, but I wouldn’t get the roles otherwise. If I’d been bigger, I don’t think they would have cast me for Mamma Mia!”
“If I have to diet, it’s salad with protein, salmon and broccoli, no dessert,” she said. “But what kind of life is that? So I work out a lot and I’m just pretty moderate about what I eat.”
