Cody Linley is ready for his close-up under the bright lights of Broadway.
The 20-year-old star — best remembered as Miley Stewart’s on-again/off-again boyfriend Jack Ryan on Disney’s Hannah Montana – has signed on to appear in the war-themed musical Over Here!, opening on New York’s famous theater district next year.
“Cody is very excited about going to Broadway,” says a rep for the star.

Hannah Montana star, Cody Linley will be starring in an upcoming Disney Channel Original movie titled “Starstruck” in which he plays a popstar! Cody attended the first day of the D23 Expo and had this to say about the movie:
“Basically, he’s into this plain Jane chick he has an adventure with and they have a cool friendship that happens. He starts to realize lots of things about himself and it has a cool message,” says Linley, who’ll start shooting in about a week.
“I’ve been singing every day. I’m recording six songs for the movie,” he says. And they’ll be shooting him performing at the Sunset Strip’s Key Club.
Cody was also very excited about attending the first ever D23 Expo.
“It’s going to be awesome — a huge event designed for the fans,” he says of the star-filled four-day extravaganza at the Anaheim Convention Center. It sounds like a Disney-tween answer to Comic Con. “I’m going to be there for a few hours, sign some autographs, meet the fans,” says the affable 19-year-old. And as far as dancing, “If there are some fans who want to dance with me, I’m always going to be breaking it out.It’s a new love for me.”

Miley Cyrus has been confirmed to perform ‘Fly On The Wall’ for the finale of this season’s Dancing With The Stars. I can’t wait (expecially since we should be there at the finale) but are you excited as well? It seems as though Cody Linley did some serious sweet talking to Miley for her to say yes!

Dancing With The Stars dancer, Cody Linley recently spilled news that Miley Cyrus may be performing for the upcoming DWTS finale. Cody told OK!:
‘I think she’s performing on the final show. I actually talked to her this morning and I’m going to be seeing her in Nashville because Julianne and I are.. ..both going to be there for the Country Music Awards. I’m going to see Miley and I’m going to tell her, ‘you definitely need to come!”
Why not! Any show with Miley is a show with viewers. Heck, we’re watch the CMA right now because Miley was on it.
