Tigerbeat/Bop was able to catch up with David Henrie on Sunday at the ‘A Time For Heroes Celebrity Carnival’. They were able to chat about the upcoming Wizards of Waverly Place Movie, and David gives his insight on why we’ll all love it!

When asked what he thought we would like the most about it he said, “It’s just a completely different tone than the TV show. It’s more like in the bedroom where we are just by ourselves just talking type of movie. You still have all of the humor that you love about it, it’s just a different perspective.”

The Wizards of Waverly Place Movie will premiere on Disney Channel in Auguest!

While the video is from Thursday, Hollywood.tv just uploaded the event. Taylor Swift looks stunning on the red carpet from the Hannah Montana: The Movie premiere at the El Capitan Theatre. While many special guests hurried through the fan fare, Taylor took the time to meet and talk with fans who had been waiting all day for the stars arrivals. I wonder if Dr. Drew thinks Taylor is messed up too.

Hannah Montana: The Movie Premiere Fan Pictures

SB reader, Jayda was lucky enough to attend tonight’s Hannah Montana: The Movie premiere at the El Capitan Theatre. Spending all afternoon waiting for the event, she was able to enjoy being by the guest check in where all the action was happening, as well as running into a few familiar faces on the red carpet. Here’s what Jayda had to say:

The Hannah Montana premiere was actually not too bad. Though the guest check-in was over crowded with fans instead of celebrities, the atmosphere as a whole was much more laid back than the crazy Jonas Brothers premiere. I found myself standing directly against the barriers arriving at about 2 p.m. nearly 20 feet from guest check-in. I was pretty mad when the people next to me got there at 4 p.m. and got just as good of a spot, but was happy to be there. Around 5 p.m. people started to get antsy- limos began arriving and lots of people started checking in (mostly fans who won tickets from MileyWorld). All of a sudden you would hear shrieks, but couldn’t see who actually came out of any limos because of the built up check-in line. Stars like Madison Pettis and Debby Ryan slid past the check-in to take pictures, but once 5:30 came around, nobody really came through to the fans. The Cyrus Clan arrived together in the same SUV after Miley waved out the window to all of the fans lined up. Stars like Cody Linley, Sterling Knight, and Tiffany Thornton showed up well after the doors were closed, but still stopped for a few (and I mean FEW) fans to take pictures. Cody didn’t really stop by choice, he was literally mobbed by a group of girls who started kissing him and took his shoe off. Tiffany was super sweet and stopped for almost all of the fans who were still there, even though all of the press and most of the staff had already left. I was pretty pleased with most of the stars; I just wish Disney would have thought out their guest check-in a little better after seeing us line up for hours. Plus, I got to be on Radio Disney (talking about my experience) after the premiere!

Sounds like a great evening!

Miley Cyrus Is A Mind Blowing Actress

Hannah Montana: The Movie director Peter Chelsom has compared Miley Cyrus to screen legend Judy Garland – insisting he was “blown away” the first time he saw the teen superstar. The filmmaker is at the helm of Cyrus’ first movie gig in the role of phenomenally popular kids’ show heroine Hannah Montana. And Chelsom admits he saw the 16-year-old’s potential long before they worked together – recalling an appearance on Oprah Winfrey’s talk show which left him speechless. He tells E! Online, “I was blown away. I just thought, you know there is no way this girl shouldn’t be ranked with Shirley Temple or Judy Garland. “I couldn’t believe it. It was like watching an evening with Barbra Streisand.”

And the filmmaker is adamant that Cyrus deserves to have her talent recognized – because she has reached such a high standard at such a young age. He adds, “She was 15 for the whole making of the movie… was Barbra doing that at 15? I don’t think so.”

Hannah Montana: The Movie hits theaters in the U.S. April 10th.

Hannah Montana Movie Bringing In GREAT Reviews

Dispite age and history of watching the show Hannah Montana or not, reviewers are loving the upcoming Disney film. Access Hollywood wrote a piece on Hannah Montana: The Movie, and in their words:

Let me begin by saying that I am the last person who would have paid money to go see “Hannah Montana The Movie.” I am a 32-year-old grown man with no children. I am not exactly the “target audience.” I have never watched the “Hannah Montana” TV show, and I have never before been a particularly huge fan of Miley Cyrus throughout my work covering her in celebrity news.

That being said, I attended one of the earliest screenings in conjunction with my work here at AccessHollywood.com preparing for our “Meet Miley Contest” along with Disney and Yahoo’s OMG!, the results of which you’ll see back here beginning April 6.

That being said, this movie is fantastic!

You’ve got to put all of your film pretensions aside when watching it; this is not “The Reader” or “Babel” – it’s a fun teen movie that sets out to be the best it can be for its genre. And it certainly achieves that.

I found myself completely taken back to teenage-hood for this film – the same way in which films like “Bring It On,” “Mean Girls” and “Clueless” did for me. It’s the kind of movie that you’ll likely be singing along with and quoting to friends for years to come. It has heart and passion, and it’s just plain a fun ride.

The movie certainly serves as a vehicle for Miley Cyrus to begin moving forward from the “Hannah Montana” role, but it by no means is an end to the character.
