Miley Cyrus moved up quite a bit in this years Forbes Top Earning Celebrities list as the seventeen year old brought in $48 million dollars last year alone.
She’s the teen star behind Disney’s lucrative Hannah Montana franchise that has now matured into a serious entertainment draw, averaging a nightly gross box office of $1.2 million across 57 tour dates. A starring role in the movie The Last Song, heavy radio play for her hit “Party in the U.S.A.” and her cut from all of those Disney shirts with her face on them add up to a large bump over her earnings from last year.
Miley Cyrus came in at #13, just one spot behind Taylor Swift who made $3 million less, but ranked higher given her copyright infringement issues are still pending.

You’re listening to Forbes again? TweenMusic.blogspot.com discredited them in 2009 for reporting Cyrus had $26-million in 2008 when she made over $100-million.
Now let’s do the math. She had 57 tour dates making $1-million per gig. That alone is more than Forbes $48 million.
Add the Hannah Montana & Last Song Movies (she was paid for Last Song in 2009, but Mommy Tish made $40-million on it this year), the Walmart licensing deal. Think it was 3 CDs. Then that little TV show where she shot 26 shows getting $14,000 per show.
Yeah, that’s $48-million in NEW math. Don’t believe Forbes.

Yes, her concert made $1 million a night, but not all of it went directly to her, there is paying off the arena, all of the workers, the crew etc. What the “Miley Cyrus Brand” makes is MUCH higher than what she, by herself, makes.
