‘Harry Potter’ Theme Park Stirring Up Controversy Already

Not all fans of this franchise have the magic power to fully enjoy The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

One of the new theme park’s attractions, Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, requires that the safety devices click three times in order for a person to enjoy the ride. For heavier riders, this may pose a major problem as they could be denied access.

Universal says they’re enforcing this regulation “to ensure the safety of our guests. It’s #1.” We get that, but should they have thought of an alternative to alienating people before completing this ride?  Getting turned away from Forbidden Journey would be a bummer, but not everyone is viewing that as a bad thing.

Banks Lee, who is 6’2″ and slightly over 300 pounds, only made it to two clicks.  Now he’s launched a blog titled Banks Lee and the Three Clicks: My Journey to Fit on an Enchanted Bench, and viewers can follow his new healthy lifestyle plan that will hopefully lead him to that coveted (and necessary!) third click.

The weight issue has proven to be a problem for many riders in the short time the attraction has been open, as a recent study shows that the average american male weights 195 pounds, causing many males who weight just 15-20 pounds more than the American average to not be able to ride.

Rihanna: “A Size 0 Is Not Practical Or Possible….”

Rihanna is lashing out at the fashion industry for promoting size zero figures and claiming it is “not practical or possible” to keep a figure in that shape and she resents designers for giving girls false ideologies about how they should look.

The 22-year-old bombshell has some of the longest legs in showbusiness and is famed for her slender frame. However Rihanna says that the fashion industry is not giving a “healthy”message to women.

The singing star tells Britain’s You Magazine: You shouldn’t be pressured into trying to be thin by the fashion industry, because they only want models that are like human mannequins. They know that if we see an outfit on a mannequin in a shop window we will love it and want to buy it whatever size we are. That’s why they have size zero models – they want to sell clothes. You have to remember that it’s not practical or possible for an everyday woman to look like that. Being size zero is a career in itself so we shouldn’t try and be like them. It’s not realistic and it’s not healthy.”

Justin Bieber wants to bulk up!

Justin Bieber has hired Hollywood power trainer Jordan Yuam to help him sculpt his current frame. Biebs was impressed with how quickly Jordan helped fellow showbiz hottie Taylor Lautner transform his body — and he’s certain that with the trainer’s help, a six pack is just a few crunches away.

“Justin’s positive he has the intensity and focus to get the same results as Taylor. He’s already a megastar at 16 — now he wants the physique to go with it. He wants ripped abs, bulging biceps, and cut thighs.”

At 5-foot-5, Justin weighs just 110 lbs, so Yuam –who owns and operates upscale gym Jordan’s Virtual Fit Club in Los Angeles — has devised a personalized workout to help the “One Less Lonely Girl” singer pump up.

“Since Justin is often on the road, he and Jordan connect for supervised workouts online through iChat or Skype,” dishes the source. “Jordan also ordered Justin to give up fast food and put him on a high-protein diet rich in good fats from nuts and avocados.”

So far, the regime seems to be working wonders; pals say Bieber is regularly downing protein shakes and works out with a mix of boxing, jogging, and free weight training daily.

Gemma Arterton may be a gorgeous movie star, appearing in the big summer blockbuster “Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time,” But the size 6 actress still faces scrutiny from weight-obsessed Hollywood.

The actress who also starred in “Clash of the Titans” and “Quantum of Solace” tells the the U.K. Daily Mail, “Occasionally, I come home and say to my fiance, ‘I feel really fat.'”

“He says, ‘Will you just listen to yourself? You know you’re being silly.’ And I do know that when I’m home, but in the business it’s different.”

The 24-year-old star says that film execs from Disney’s “Prince of Persia” told her what not to eat after she was photographed with a double chin last year.

While filming the movie, she admitted, “They sent me to a personal trainer, wanted to get my teeth done, hair extensions, make me look like somebody else. And that’s fine… I became the thing they wanted me to be for the part.”

“But I don’t agree with what they think is beautiful because it’s not me,” she says. “Unless you’re really famous and successful then they’re going to bully you into going to the gym. It’s a side of the industry that I find uncomfortable.”

But it’s not just film execs who pick her apart, it’s also the thin-obsessed fashion industry. She explains, “I went to a designer the other day — who will remain nameless — and he said to me: ‘I’m amazed that you’re fitting into these sample sizes.'”

To which she replied: “I’m a size (U.K) eight to ten! I should be amazed that the largest you’re making these is a size six.”

Amanda Seyfried Admits Staying Thin Is a Struggle

Amanda Seyfried has spoken about the grossness of her raw food diet, and now she says it’s just one of the difficult things she does to stay thin.

“I clearly like being fit, but it’s not thin without a hell of a lot of work – I run and I exercise a lot and then I eat,” she told AOL’s StyleList. “The week of that interview I was on a raw food cleanse, which I do occasionally. I’m in my mid-20s and I know how to look after my body on my own. I’m not going to deny that I don’t think about it every day, it’s always on my mind.”

Staying body obsessed is just part of her job.

“I have to stay in shape because I’m an actress,” Seyfried said. “It’s f**ked up and it’s twisted, but I wouldn’t get the roles otherwise. If I’d been bigger, I don’t think they would have cast me for Mamma Mia!”

“If I have to diet, it’s salad with protein, salmon and broccoli, no dessert,” she said. “But what kind of life is that? So I work out a lot and I’m just pretty moderate about what I eat.”
