Miley Cyrus has a problem with her boyfriend’s fashion sense.
The 17-year-old singer-and-actress confesses her gay best friend has far better style than her boyfriend Liam Hemsworth, and she gets annoyed when the Australian actor wears surfing shorts when he isn’t anywhere near a beach.
She said: “I have a problem with people who are wearing board shorts when they aren’t going to the beach and Liam is constantly in surf trunks.
“He just wears trunks all the time. My best friend is gay, so it doesn’t help. He’s always decked out and really hot and then I see my boyfriend and I’m like, ‘I kinda want that one. Even though you don’t like me, I really like you!’ ”
The teen star – who has been dating Liam since they met on the set of movie ‘The Last Song’ – also confesses her friend has more in common than her than 20-year-old Liam does.
She told UK chat show host Graham Norton: “My best friend is way cuter and way more fun and wants to do everything I want to do, so that’s the difference.”
Recently Miley revealed she loved her boyfriend because of his positive nature.
She said: “He gives the best comments when asked about our relationship. He’s smart, positive and non-judgemental.”

Lauren Conrad dished to Glamour Magazine her favorite spring Do’s & Do Not trends.
On Knee Socks: Ooh. I love them in an editorial look. When I think knee socks I always go to that Sex and the City scene where Carrie wore them with a heel, which looked amazing but I’ve tried to do it and I can’t. I think if it peeks out of a tall boot, like a riding boot, it works, but generally it’s hard to pull off.
The lingerie-inspired trend: That’s a Do! I love that trend. It’s about finding the lingerie inspired pieces, rather than wearing actually lingerie. And it’s about layering–you want one piece in there, whether it’s a cami or just some small lace detail on another piece. You don’t want to show too much, but I think it’s so feminine.
Double Denim; AKA the “Texas Tuxedo”? Don’t. I can’t do denim on denim. There are usually one or two trends a season I just don’t get and this one of them. It’s a hard look to class up.
Watercolor Prints? DO! I love watercolor prints. I think they’re very romantic and kind of timeless. I almost did too much of it with this collection. When we were shopping for prints with Kohl’s everything I picked was watercolor and floral. They’re very in because of the whole Alice in Wonderland thing.
Trend of the season so far, hot pants? Um…I love them in editorial. YSL just did one that looks fabulous on a model but I don’t think they’re something you can wear every day. I’d say try it as a bathing suit bottom instead. You can’t wear them to the club, because you’re going to look like one of the dancers, but they could look cute on the beach!
Taylor Momsen chatted with NOTW about her unique style that she wears so proudly: ‘Clothes are a form of self-expression. I don’t care what other people think. I’ve had lots of people say I’m disgraceful because I should act like a role model for other young kids but I’m not a role model. I’m an actress, I’m a singer and I don’t want to be a role model. If you like me that’s fantastic, but if you don’t, stop giving me a hard time.‘
I’ve always been into my own look and love what I wear. I’m not like a lot of other actresses. I don’t use a stylist and mostly do my own hair and make-up. When I get dressed up I always wear what I want to. Fashion is a big part of me but I always believe it’s not what but how you wear clothes. I’m not some cute girl that’s been stamped out of a Disney studio and I’m proud of that. Some people like me for it, others hate it. I’m used to that. I’ve had it all my life.
Selena Gomez is featured in the December issue of the British magazine Mizz. Inside the pages, Selena dishes on her style and shopping inspiration.
On her winter style: ‘It’s only in the last year that I’ve started to find my own style. I love the classic chic from the 1940s era. I get inspiration from all kinds of places, like movies I watch, pictures I find online – but I always go back to that period. I think I was born in the wrong time! My friends say that I dress like a 30-year-old woman, as they’re all into skater-chick things!’
On beautifying with makeup: ‘I love putting on make-up and trying different looks every morning, but there are days when it’s nice to go natural. It doesn’t bother me if I get photographed on a no-make-up day, as it proves to my fans that I don’t always look perfect. Trust me!’
On British vs. American style: ‘I think fashion here [UK] is so much better than in America. People aren’t afraid to be daring and try different things, whereas in America everyone tends to wear the same thing. I really admire the confidence of British girls to put their own spin on each outfit.’
