Miley Cyrus has a problem with her boyfriend’s fashion sense.
The 17-year-old singer-and-actress confesses her gay best friend has far better style than her boyfriend Liam Hemsworth, and she gets annoyed when the Australian actor wears surfing shorts when he isn’t anywhere near a beach.
She said: “I have a problem with people who are wearing board shorts when they aren’t going to the beach and Liam is constantly in surf trunks.
“He just wears trunks all the time. My best friend is gay, so it doesn’t help. He’s always decked out and really hot and then I see my boyfriend and I’m like, ‘I kinda want that one. Even though you don’t like me, I really like you!’ ”
The teen star – who has been dating Liam since they met on the set of movie ‘The Last Song’ – also confesses her friend has more in common than her than 20-year-old Liam does.
She told UK chat show host Graham Norton: “My best friend is way cuter and way more fun and wants to do everything I want to do, so that’s the difference.”
Recently Miley revealed she loved her boyfriend because of his positive nature.
She said: “He gives the best comments when asked about our relationship. He’s smart, positive and non-judgemental.”

Lauren Conrad dished to Glamour Magazine her favorite spring Do’s & Do Not trends.
On Knee Socks: Ooh. I love them in an editorial look. When I think knee socks I always go to that Sex and the City scene where Carrie wore them with a heel, which looked amazing but I’ve tried to do it and I can’t. I think if it peeks out of a tall boot, like a riding boot, it works, but generally it’s hard to pull off.
The lingerie-inspired trend: That’s a Do! I love that trend. It’s about finding the lingerie inspired pieces, rather than wearing actually lingerie. And it’s about layering–you want one piece in there, whether it’s a cami or just some small lace detail on another piece. You don’t want to show too much, but I think it’s so feminine.
Double Denim; AKA the “Texas Tuxedo”? Don’t. I can’t do denim on denim. There are usually one or two trends a season I just don’t get and this one of them. It’s a hard look to class up.
Watercolor Prints? DO! I love watercolor prints. I think they’re very romantic and kind of timeless. I almost did too much of it with this collection. When we were shopping for prints with Kohl’s everything I picked was watercolor and floral. They’re very in because of the whole Alice in Wonderland thing.
Trend of the season so far, hot pants? Um…I love them in editorial. YSL just did one that looks fabulous on a model but I don’t think they’re something you can wear every day. I’d say try it as a bathing suit bottom instead. You can’t wear them to the club, because you’re going to look like one of the dancers, but they could look cute on the beach!
Taylor Momsen chatted with NOTW about her unique style that she wears so proudly: ‘Clothes are a form of self-expression. I don’t care what other people think. I’ve had lots of people say I’m disgraceful because I should act like a role model for other young kids but I’m not a role model. I’m an actress, I’m a singer and I don’t want to be a role model. If you like me that’s fantastic, but if you don’t, stop giving me a hard time.‘
I’ve always been into my own look and love what I wear. I’m not like a lot of other actresses. I don’t use a stylist and mostly do my own hair and make-up. When I get dressed up I always wear what I want to. Fashion is a big part of me but I always believe it’s not what but how you wear clothes. I’m not some cute girl that’s been stamped out of a Disney studio and I’m proud of that. Some people like me for it, others hate it. I’m used to that. I’ve had it all my life.
Rihanna is frequently spotted on red carpets wearing outfits that a sane person would politely describe as “wacky”, but she insists there’s no rivalry with Lady Gaga.
“I could never wear anything that Lady Gaga wears,” the ‘Rude Boy’ singer told MusicFIX during her recent jaunt to Australia. “It works for her because that’s her. It’ll look pretty silly on me!”
“The only way I succeeded was by being myself and not really look at who else is out there or trying to compete with them,” she added.
Singer Rihanna wants to try and break into acting and has ambitions of launching her own fashion range as well.
The singer is not satisfied with being a globe-trotting pop star and is ready to turn her attention to the big screen in 2010.
“There is so much I want to do. I would love to try my hand at acting. I just want to keep getting better,” she said.
Rihanna, 21, is also keen to get involved with fashion and wants to design her own clothing range.
“I’ll hopefully be making movies and having something to do with fashion as well as making music in years to come,” she said.
Rihanna has not been shy when it came to fashion statements in 2009 which helped secure her image as a fashion A-lister, but even the A-listers need inspiration.
The ‘Russian Roulette’ singer admits she looks up to Lady Gaga for her bold wardrobe and continuous stream of hits over the year.
Rihanna said: “Lady Gaga has a very bold, fearless image and, I have to say, I have so much respect for original artists who aren’t afraid to do what they do. That’s what I respect the most. She’s awesome.”
Actress/singer Taylor Momsen responded to critics who have been strongly commenting on her wardrobe choices labeling them inappropriate for her age. Taylor spoke up for herself though saying she believes in what she wears and doesn’t care what others think.
“I don’t care,” she told E! News backstage at the G-Star Raw fashion show Tuesday night in NYC. “I think if everyone’s going to be so upset about what I’m wearing, I’m like, well, maybe you should look at your life a little more. I don’t know why you’re so obsessed with mine.”
The 16 year-old also compares fashion to art and claims it’s just another way to express her creativeness.
“Music inspires me,” she says of her choice to bare what she will. “Fashion means everything. I mean, it’s art. Art means everything to me, so fashion’s another side of it. It’s expression, it’s music, it’s a way of showing and really being who you are in your own way that no one can take away from you.”
Do you think a sixteen year old wearing lingerie during concert performances is appropriate?
