Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley have been officially announced to host the Country Music Awards together for the fifth time. A picture of the two viewing promotional CMA pictures during a photo shoot Wednesday was uploaded on the official CMA Twitter account.
The Country Music Awards will air live Thursday, November 1st, on ABC from Nashville.
Carrie Underwood who has been engaged to Canadian hockey player Mike Fisher since December 2009 – has reserved the entire Ritz-Carlton Lodge in the small community of Greensboro, Georgia, at a price of $268,000 a night for her nuptials tomorrow (10.07.10).
Carey Williams, editor of the Herald Journal in Greensboro, revealed: “She has blocked off all 251 rooms at the hotel. Carrie will be flying in by helicopter today (09.07.10).”
Rooms at the Lodge cost between $300 and $1,500 a night, and for $4,000 a night guests get VIP use of a nearby lake and the 18th green on the golf course.
Carrie and Mike will spend their first night together as husband and wife in the Presidential House. It comes complete with four master suites, a gourmet kitchen, a private pool and lounge and a recreation room.
Guests began arriving at the exclusive venue on Wednesday (07.07.10) for the event, which is rumored to be costing in excess of $500,000. The 27-year-old singer is believed to have secured exclusive rights with a weekly magazine to publish the photographs of her big day.
A source said: “Carrie wants to keep the wedding small and secret. She originally wanted up to $2 million for the photo rights, but she’s now believed to have struck a deal with a weekly magazine.”

Country music’s good girl Carrie Underwood spiced it up in Sin City this weekend for her bachelorette party, and the Ministry’s got the deets on her last celebration as a single.
Underwood, engaged to hockey player Mike Fisher since December, hit Las Vegas with girlfriends for shopping and spa time. On Saturday, the ladies attended Lavo nightclub, where Underwood donned a bride-to-be sash and sipped Hypnotiq cocktails.
Underwood tried to keep incognito, an onlooker said, but gave in to her excitement when her girlfriends busted out blue feather boas and made her dance on a Lavo banquette.
Country star Carrie Underwood has launched a relief fund to aid the victims left homeless by the floods in Nashville, Tennessee. Using the grants she received as the reigning Academy of Country Music (ACM) Entertainer of the Year, the “Temporary Home” crooner is launching the Temporary Home Fund in cooperation with ACM Lifting Lives organization to help flood victims.
The Southern city has been left devastated by severe storms, which ruined several state landmarks and homes — including a mansion belonging to country superstar Kenny Chesney — earlier this month. The subsequent floods left much of country-western’s hometown underwater, claiming the lives of over 20 people and left thousands homeless.
Fans are invited to donate $10 to the effort by texting “ACM” to 501051. Donations also can be made at www.ACMliftinglives.org and www.CBS.com/give.

Carrie Underwood is one happy girl. According to JSYK: The recently engaged singer won Entertainer of the Year at the Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday, becoming the first female performer to win the honor twice.
“I think I just got makeup all over Brad Paisley,” Carrie said while accepting her award. “Thank you, God, praise the Lord.” The 27-year-old singer beat out Brad, Kenny Chesney, the Zac Brown Band, Toby Keith, George Strait, Keith Urban and Taylor Swift.
Carrie also took home a special statue for her “triple crown” of ACM wins — entertainer of the year, top female vocalist and top newcomer — throughout her career.
Unfortunately, Taylor Swift came up empty-handed, losing out in each of the five categories she was nominated for this year. She did, however, provide a memorable performance, singing her ballad ‘Change’ before going into ‘You Belong With Me’ with the University of California San Diego a cappella group the Tritones as expected.

The first round of nominees for the 2010 Country Music Television Awards were announced on Monday, and it looks like three friends are pitted against each other in the Female Video of the Year category. Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood and Kellie Pickler are all up for the coveted award this year.
Taylor’s ‘You Belong With Me’ video is vying for the honor against Carrie’s ‘Cowboy Cassanova’ video and Kellie’s ‘Didn’t You Know How Much I Loved You’ video.
But the friendly competition doesn’t stop there. Taylor and Carrie’s same videos face off against each other in the top category of the night, Video of the Year. At least Taylor and Kellie will be able to celebrate together if they will Collaborative Video of the Year for ‘Best Days of Your Life’.
