Politicans in Barbados have been criticised for giving Rihanna a free plot of land.
Minister of Housing and Lands Michael Lashley gave the singer the piece of real estate, located in Apes Hill, in appreciation for her work in boosting tourism to the nation.
However, Government Minister Gline Clarke slammed Lashley’s decision, saying that the land should have gone to poorer citizens in the area.
“Why is the government paying millions of dollars for land for someone who’s already making millions?” he said.
Rihanna has not commented on the matter.
