In case you’ve haven’t heard, Thank Me Later, the eagerly-anticipated LP from Canadian hip-hopster Drake, emerged online today (6.2) — a full two weeks before its scheduled release date.
Despite the negative impact the pirating nightmare may have on his first week sales figures, the most raved-about rap star in recent memory is taking the hit in stride. Check out the message Drizzy posted to his Twitter page a few hours after the leak:
“I gave away free music for years so we’re good over here…just allow it to be the soundtrack to your summer and ENJOY! JUNE 15th!”
Drake has accomplished a lot in very little time; releasing a successful EP, two hit singles, and garnering a Grammy nomination. The former Degrassi star’s current singles, “Over” and “Find Your Love,” are presently No. 19 and No. 32, respectively, on the Billboard Hot 100.
