Teen Boys Clamoring For Justin Bieber Haircut

Bieber Fever has spawned a generation of tween girls who will riot, knock over mothers, and even Twitter-threaten sexy stars like Kim Kardashian. Now the obsession with Canadian heartthrob Justin Bieber, namely his famous fringe haircut, has crossed over to teen boys. Who knew?

Biebs locks have become a trending topic of their own. As The New York Times reports, big cities across the globe are chock full of  boys clamoring for Justin’s signature bangs.

Tommy Ledger, a 14-year-old ninth grader from Bieber’s native Canada, got a $175 chemical straightening treatment on his naturally wavy locks in a last-ditch effort to “have Justin Bieber hair.”

“Girls always play with it in class,” Tommy explains. “It’s kind of frustrating sometimes. I’m trying to skateboard and they want to touch my hair.”

In the City That Never Sleeps, a copycat version of “The Bieber” can run you as much as $150 at chic places like Oscar Blandi, although you can get it for as little as $29 at one of three Cozy’s Cuts locations in Manhattan.

“You can’t see any eyes,” salon owner Cozy Friedman laughs about how popular the style has become. “There are no eyes, and there’s a lot of flipping.”
