Justin Bieber’s fame and recent success has movie creators hopeful that the sixteen year old can be successful in the box office as well. Bieber has a movie in development based on his rise to fame, but there isn’t currently a final script.

Just told Teen Vogue in April: ‘We’re trying to set up a movie for me in the near future, it’s going to be similar to the story of how I got discovered, kinda like my own version of 8 Mile.’

Lauren Conrad Going Dark

Lauren Conrad says she’s planning on penning a spinoff of her L.A. Candy novels.

“I’m going to take Madison from the book and do a darker series,” she told me the other night the Hills finale party. “I already wrote a little bit and it was really fun.”

L.A. Candy focuses on Jane Roberts, a young woman who moves to Hollywood, gets a job with an events planner and eventually lands her own reality show. Like Conrad, Jane isn’t always happy with her fame and the attention it brings. (FYI: She just completed writing third installment of the Candy trilogy).

“I think it would be really fun to do it the other way, with someone who loves it,” Conrad explained. “Someone who loves the fame and plays that game well.”

The movie adaptation of her LA Candy series is in the very early stages of development.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse ripped into the record books with its midnight launch, grossing over $30 million at more than 4,000 theaters.

That surpassed The Twilight Saga: New Moon’s previous benchmark of $26.3 million. Included in Eclipse’s sum was a new IMAX midnight milestone of over $1 million at 192 venues, topping Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen’s $959,000.

Summit Entertainment hasn’t rested on its laurels, which is evident from the number of theaters they secured as well as a marketing campaign that has upped the action ante, suggesting that what was set up in the first two movies is finally coming to a head. On Wednesday, Summit said that they were expecting Eclipse to gross $150 million in its first six days, including $60 million for the Friday-to-Sunday period. Females both young and old are predictably the driving force, and Summit reported that male interest is about the same as it was for New Moon.

Harry Potter Tamed Down To Avoid R Rating?

With the latest Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows trailer coming out this week, many die-hard fans who had studied the previous trailer (which came out in December 2009) noticed many changes.

Many changes such as blood being removed, shown deaths being limited, and gore down to a minimum. Why the change though?

Harry Potter was up for debate as to if it would be rated PG-13, a rating ideal for a teen targeted film, or rated R, showing more but losing the ability of many fans to see the movie in theaters.

With the final rating being PG-13, changes had to of been made to make the film more appropriate to the masses, even if that meant the movie wouldn’t hold as true to the books. Are you happy it was modified to get the PG-13 rating, or do you wish they stayed true to the book?

First Look: Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows

The official trailer for the upcoming film, Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows has premiered. Are you excited for it’s release?

This is the first of the two last movies for the entire series, corresponding to the first half of book 7. In this one, Harry, Ron, and Hermione go on the trek that Dumbledore sent them on to find and destroy all of the lost Horcruxes, but it won’t be easy.

Harry, Ron, and Hermione are fugitives from the law when the Death Eaters have taken over the Ministry of Magic and there is a 10,000 galleon price for anyone who turns in Harry to the Death Eaters so Voldemort can kill him. The Dark Lord told all Death Eaters not to kill Harry because he wants Harry for himself.

Harry doesn’t know what the horcruxes look like, where they are, and he doesn’t have any means of destroying them. While Harry is on this quest, he keeps having little glimpses into Voldemorts mind and he sees that The Dark Lord is also on a quest, but Voldemort’s quest is to find a wand that Harry has never heard of, and when Harry investigates this a bit, his leads take him to a mysterious story about “The Deathly Hallows”. So, while Harry is looking for the Horcruxes and learning more about “The Deathly Hallows”, he finds himself in more danger that he’s ever been in before. And when danger calls, people die… and in the last thriller of the Harry Potter series, fight breaks out and a lot of people die, and you will be in tears during every minute of this movie only to be in even more tears when it’s over.

Part One releases November 2010, and the last installment, Part Two, premieres July 2011.

Jonas Brothers World Tour Camp Rock 2 Tour Not Selling Well

It seems as though not only did the last Jonas Brothers album do poorly, but their concert ticket sales for their upcoming world tour are not selling well either. Could it be that the Jonas Brothers craze is finally settling down?

The last album the brothers put out, ‘Lines, Vines, and Trying Times’ was released to poor reviews and even worse sales, bringing in less than a quarter million album sales the first week.  Youngest brother, Nick Jonas, brought in even worse sales for his solo album, with 80,000 purchases. After their 3D movie fail, and two unsuccessful albums, it was inevitable and no surprise that their tour sales would go down as well.

After playing free shows for any fans that would show up in major cities, the Jonas took on a new world tour in promotion for their upcoming Disney film, Camp Rock 2. Sharing the stage with their co-star, Demi Lovato, the world tour sounded promising, but quickly proved otherwise.

Within three weeks of tickets being on sale, all of their concert tickets stopped selling the seats with service fees, a move the Jonas said, to help all of their fans afford the show. With thousands of open seats still available despite the change and lower price, tickets are still open, and not bought.

No word on what will happen if a majority of tickets are still un-sold at the time of the performance, but one thing is for sure, the Jonas Brothers are no longer at the height of their careers.
