It has been quite a year for Taylor Swift, and on her 20th birthday yesterday (December 13) she threw a huge party for her family and friends.
The “Love Story” songstress told press, “It’s more like an end-of-year Christmas party that happens to be on my birthday.”
And rather than shower herself with extravagant gifts, Miss Swift decided to give $250,000 to schools around America to help with various costs during these tough financial times.
Taylor stated, “Something I wanted to do at the end of this amazing year and especially on my birthday was give back to something I really believe in, which is education. The schools that I went to and the amazing people I got to learn from really turned me into who I am, and I wanted to give back.”

The beautiful and talented Miss Taylor Swift celebrates her 20th birthday today (12.13). The country singer has had an incredible year thus far, including hosting SNL, being on CSI and most recently being nominated eight times for the Grammy’s. While accomplishing that much as a teen, the wonderful age of 20 is sure to be even more promising.
