Christina Aguilera sat down to talk with the LA Times on her new album, Keeps Getting Better which is in Target stores today. She talked about making music and inspirations, but her answer to a ‘copying’ question came off slightly disrespectful to Lady Gaga. Here’s what this Superbore had to say:
What do you say to those on the internet who are hinting that you borrowed Lady Gaga’s look?
You know, that’s funny that you mention that. This person [Lady Gaga] was just brought to my attention not too long ago. I’m not quite sure who this person is, to be honest. I don’t know if it is a man or a woman. I just wasn’t sure. I really don’t spend any time on the Internet, so I guess I live a little under a rock in that respect.
While her comment was blunt it can be controversial. Now that the Britney feud is reportedly over, did she really need to start a new one? I’m not sure how Lady Gaga will take her comment, but if I was her I would feel offended.

While Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears were once rumored to fued, Christina expressed to The UK Daily Mail, that any fued, past or present does not exist.
“I don’t pass any judgment on what she does,” Christina Aguilera told the UK’s Daily Mail. “I always wish Britney nothing but the best. When we both started out releasing records (in 1998-1999), it was a funny time for me.”
“It must have seemed as if we were competing, but, in reality, Britney is someone that I used to hold hands with. We were silly little girls together doing the Mickey Mouse Club. What a journey it has been for the both of us!”
These days, with kids and careers (Britney has two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, and a new album, Circus, dropping December 2) and busy lives, the young moms don’t talk often, but it’s not because they don’t like each other, she says.
“There are been many stories about the two of us not getting on,” Christina Aguilera, who has an 11-month-old son Max, said. “We don’t keep closely in touch with one another, and it’s obvious how our lives have taken on different directions.”
I’m glad to know Britney has another dear friend that she can trust since she has been around of shady people in her past, but as much as I believe there is no tension now, I’m not sure if I buy there never was any. If you were best friends, would you go on tour with their recent ex-boyfriend for months of overnight traveling? Personally…I wouldn’t. Maybe they should ask Britney the same question, I doubt we would hear the same response.

Christina, do you really think if a few nights ago you step out for a night on the town looking like THIS, that we will forget and assume that within 2 days your body looks like this? You never had curves growing up, and now that you have a beautiul child and some new motherly looks, you should embrace them, not hire Mariah’s airbrusher. We like the real you, not a fake picture…although they do look cute.
By the way, in case you were, or even if you worn’t these pictures are for her new Greatest Hits Album coming out soon, and since we’re all looking at the airbrush magic-in the candy picture…are her boobs meant to look that fake? Just Wondering…
