Jordin Online posted some great news about Jordin Sparks joining the legendary Britney Spears on the last leg of her Circus Tour. First Jonas Brothers and now Miss Spears, all in the same season, Jordin is working her way up!
Britney Spears may be the ringmaster, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t room for another vocal powerhouse under the big top.
Brit’s official blog announced today that Jordin Sparks is joining the second leg of the Circus tour, signing on just in time to hit all of the U.S. hot spots including New York, Los Angeles and two nights in Las Vegas.
Following in the footsteps of former Circus openers Ciara and the Pussycat Dolls, the 19-year-old American Idol champ could not be more thrilled about the pair-up, exclaiming: “Britney’s show is incredible and for me to be a part of it is a great opportunity.”
Sparks released her hit sophomore album, Battlefield, in late July and just wrapped up the North American leg of the Jonas Brothers world tour.

Britney Spears is continuing on her world Circus tour, with the first stop in Greenboro where the icon performed a cover of ‘You Oughta Know’. I thought nothing could get better than her cover of ‘Sweet Dreams’ on prior concert dates of the tour, but watch and see for yourself.

Miley Cyrus presenting the legendary Britney Spears an award at the 2009 Teen Choice Awards.
During a recent show, an eager fan decided to run up to Britney Spears on stage taking her by surprise. While he didn’t get a chance to touch the icon, Britney appears greatly disturbed screaming and shaking. While the fan who claims he loves Britney should feel bad for scaring the star, he said he’d do it all over again and even decided to Youtube about it. Sad.

AEG Live president John Meglen recently commented on Britney’s tour and it’s success.
Britney’s tour is produced by AEG Live/Concerts West, the entertainment conglomerate responsible for Cher and Bette Midler at Caesars Palace and Carlos Santana’s new residency at The Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel.
Its president, John Meglen, told me: “It is one of the biggest and best-selling tours of the decade. Response and reaction has been phenomenal worldwide, and this weekend date at MGM is the highest ticket-selling gross so far. European fans cannot wait for her to get there, and in many, many venues, the tickets have been sold out instantly, and we’ve had to juggle dates to add more shows to meet the demand.”
The Sold-out tour had tickets ranging from $50-$500, with some shows selling out completely in less than four minutes. That’s what you get with an icon though!

If you saw the Circus tour this Spring, you saw first hand how amazing the video duet featuring Britney Spears and Marilyn Manson singing, ‘Sweet Dreams’ is. Featuring a darker side of the pop star, the song somehow works magically between their voices, and has had many fans wonder if they’ll sing it together outside of the tour.
Those close to the stars are encouraging the match-up, including Marilyn’s #1 lady friend, Evan Rachel Wood. The actress stated, “I want him to sing with her,” she told MTV News. “I think that’d be great. I totally want to see Marilyn Manson and Britney Spears. Who doesn’t want to see Marilyn Manson and Britney Spears sing onstage together?” Evan confessed that when she suggested the idea to Manson, he was amused by it because “we have the same sense of humor.” So what tune would the duo sing — a Britney or Manson hit? “Maybe they can do a mash-up or something,” she said. “I think somebody’s gotta get on that.”
I for one, love the idea. They better get on that asap!

While the title of Britney Spears’s tour was ‘Circus’, freakshow was more well fitting. Beginning with Britney Spears shooting Perez Hilton in a twisted scene, the film sequences were all very dark energy mixing hate, passion and sexuality together.
Britney Spears is the queen of pop, and her show is remarkable to say the least. With circus performers, fire, fireworks, confetti explosions, magicians and more there was never a moment where the audience wasn’t blown away. The entire performance was perfectly in sync and it needed to be. (Spoiler) There’s a portion of the show where Britney performs Breathe On Me/Touch Of My Hand and she is lifted with no support by her dancers legs 50 feet into the air. The entire set was thought out perfectly, as there was a balance between the three rings so that everyone was able to see a performance right in front of them at any given moment. We were sitting in some of the worst seats in the house on top, and as you can see from the pictures, there was still an amazing view. The stage filled up almost the entire floor of the Honda Center, and what wasn’t taking place on the stage was occuring in the air, on the movie screen and in the audience through lights. Britney performed all of her greatest hits including ‘Baby One More Time’, ‘Boys’, ‘Piece of Me’ and her latest, ‘Womanizer’. The set was over 90 minutes long not including the wonderful opening act made by the Pussy Cat Dolls and all in all, was well worth the money spent. Britney always puts on an amazing show, but her Circus tour is by far the best, yet darkest show I’ve ever seen of hers. If this is her getting back on her feet, I can’t even imagine the possibilties the future holds for Miss Spears.
