I’m ready to get my tickets! The Jonas Brothers just announced today that they will be hosting the 2009 Teen Choice Awards this summer from California. The Grammy-nominated teen trio will also host the awards ceremony, which celebrates the year’s hottest teen icons in film, television, music, sports and fashion. The show will air August 10 on FOX at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT.
It seems as though Canadian singer Avril Lavigne may be the latest singer to spend some time on Broadway.
The pop star was spotted recently in NYC coming out of notorious Broadway restaurant Sardi’s where she was having dinner and meeting with top Broadway producers about a possible show.
The 25 year old star has done some acting gigs on TV and small roles in film but this would be the singers first time performing on stage without being in concert.
When asked if she was coming to Broadway, she replied with a simple “maybe”. If true, the show in talks is for ‘Great White Way’.

It seems as though Hollywood’s favorite young stars for being feminine boy magnets may be changing their image…for police?
The hit series originally starred Sharon Gless and Tyne Daly as a pair of tough cookies taking down criminals on the gritty streets of New York City. Hollywood insiders are certain the new project would be the perfect springboard to superstardom for the young starlets, but can you really see Vanessa Hudgens as a cop?
“There’ll be romance, tears, broken hearts and a lot of close ups. And singing and dancing,” a tipster squealed to reporters for The Metro on Wednesday.
According to the Daily Metro report, producers hope to sign Hudgens’ real life boyfriend and High School Musical co-star Zac Efron to play her husband Harvey in the film.
“Of course, we’ll have to make the bad guys a little less menacing in order to retain some semblance of credibility,” says a source close to the negotiations. “… We’ll have some musical numbers thrown in there but basically we intend to retain the spirit of the original show.”
I think they’re both very talented young ladies, but I’m not sure if playing police would work for them, or the viewers.
