Matt Prokop Twittered how he will be in Aspen for the next five weeks to shoot his upcoming comedy, Cougar Hunting. In his own words, the film is ‘innappropriate, superbad humor’. I’m sure it will make for a great movie, especially if ‘cougar’ is in the terms I think it is in. Are you happy he chose a comedy over HSM4?

Confirming some some sad news that we previously reported, Ashley Tisdale and boyfriend Jared Murillo have called it quits on their two year relationship. According to Us Magazine, “They have not been dating for awhile now,” the source says. “They just grew apart, but are remaining friends.” As for finding closure with the split, Ashley admits that writting about the breakup helped her move on stating, “On this album, I put to rest a lot of baggage from {the relationship with Murillo} by venting about the frustration. Everyone can relate to those moments. That song is about how you need to stand up for yourself and not let someone walk all over you; I wanted to get across to other girls.”

The source states they remain friends, but has anyone seen them out in public together?

Hannah Montana: The Movie actor, Lucas Till confesses to Bop/TigerBeat some issues he had while filming the movie. According to Lucas:

“Interesting thing about the Hannah Montana Movie…first take of my first scene, where I’m on my horse, I tug my horse that I was leading – Blue Jeans – to let him know that I was going. He reared back. He didn’t like that. And I actually have a scar across my hand from the first take of the Hannah Montana movie. It’s in the shape of a heart because the horse loved me I guess.”

Zac Efron Is Growing Up

17-again4

USA Weekend was able to meet up with Zac Efron in Sherman Oaks and talk about what lays ahead in the future for the young actor over some Mexican food. On his transition into different roles:

Even by Hollywood standards, Zac Efron has been blessed in the gene department. Sitting in a booth at Casa Vega, a Sherman Oaks, Calif., Mexican restaurant, it’s hard not to be mesmerized by his eggshell-blue eyes lined with long lashes and that toothpaste-white smile peering out over the fish taco he’s munching on. The gray knit beanie covering his head fails to prevent every waitress and female customer in this very dark joint from noticing the young star.

Still, as perhaps Efron understands better than most, life is not a Disney musical. “I’m at a transition point,” Efron concedes, taking a measure of his current position in the Hollywood constellations. “My taste is changing. I’m growing up.”

The change is not entirely obvious in his new movie, which is actually called “17 Again.” In it, Efron, 21 in real life, again plays the cute guy, and a basketball star at that, à la “High School Musical,” the monster hit movie series he starred in and which, he is quick to add, “is over” for him. The catch this time: A depressed 37-year-old with a failed marriage and career (Matthew Perry) gets to do over his life in the body of his 17-year-old self (Efron). Although still playing a teenager, Efron does it with his first hint of adult-style machismo.

“I saw it as a more complex part that could help me shift into adult material,” he says hopefully.

Miley Cyrus Stole Chickens?

Tennessee-native Miley Cyrus has a strong passion for animals and felt so sorry for one of the wrangler’s live chickens on the set of her new flick “Hannah Montana: The Movie” that she actually stole it to take home as a pet.

“Miley picked it up thought it was real cute and decided she needed to save this chicken. So she put it in a cardboard box with some pine straw and got her mom to take it home,” co-star Jason Earles told Tarts. “She is funny with animals — she was like ‘I have to have that chicken’. She falls in love like you wouldn’t believe.”

The sweet 16-year-old admitted she actually stole “a few” chickens but it was because “they were sad to be working.”

I’m sure PETA is loving Miley a lot more than Jesse McCartney right now.

Hilary Duff believes today’s teen stars like Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez have it hard because of the constant paparazzi following they have at a younger age.

When asked by E!’s Daily 10 if she felt bad for the amount of paparazzi that teen stars have to deal with, the Duffster said, “Hmmm… no, because I have to deal with it everyday too. I mean I think that they’re talented, you know, and it probably is a little harder for them now, you know, because there is so much paparazzi and it wasn’t like that so much a few years ago.”

Hil also went on to say she’s slowly gearing up for a new album: “I don’t really have a date or a deadline. I’m starting to work with a few producers, and writing and just figuring out a new… what new sound or what’s inspiring me… I don’t have deadlines. Or I don’t have anyone telling me what to do anymore.”
