According to E! Online the Jonas Brothers:3D Concert Experience is underperforming in the theatres, stating: ‘ Their ‘unspectacular opening day barely held off the Tyler Perry holdover Madea Goes to Jail for the No. 1 spot, and forced box-office analysts to revise their forecasts downward.
Where once a $30 million Friday-Sunday take was considered possible, if not likely, for Jonas Brothers. ‘When you factor in the ticket prices, you are talking about a movie that’s underpeforming.’ JB3D’s playing at 3D equipped & IMAX theaters, where tickets cost $15-18 each, about twice the national average.
Compared to last year’s Miley Cyrus concert movie, which also played exclusively on 3D and IMAX screens, the Jonas Brothers’ effort is looking especially lame. On its opening day, Miley’s concert movie grossed nearly twice as much money [$8.7 million] on nearly half as many screens as the Jonases’.

Miley Cyrus will be signing her new book – Miles to Go in New York City and Los Angeles! Miley will be at Barns and Noble, 555 Fifth Ave, NYC at 4 pm on March 5 and at the Grove Barns and Noble in Los Angeles at noon on March 7. Be sure to get one of the 500 wristbands to attend the signing. The wristbands will be avalible begining at 6 am the day of the NYC signing and at 7 pm the night prior to Los Angeles! Sorry posts have been slow lately, I actually got extremely injured at work and was on bed rest for three days and with medicine I’m just now starting to be able to sit up and walk by myself, therefore posts won’t be up until Saturday. Jayda sent in her pictures from last night’s premiere, and wrote in about what it was like being near the purple carpet:
My friend Emiko and I waited on the south side of Hollywood Blvd. about 50 or so feet from the guest check-in. This was the nicest premiere/event to wait at because it was in the shade most of the day and the crowd was pretty evenly distributed. I met Nicole Anderson (who stopped only for me!), the G-Girlz, Andrew Lee from Honor Society, Michael Peterson, Allisyn Arms, Roshon Fegan, Katelyn Tarver and Tiffany Thornton. I was within arms reach of Demi Lovato, Brandon Smith, Emily Osment, Jason Dolley, Jordan Pruitt and Jason Earles, but they were all in too much of a rush to stop and take pictures. I also saw Nate Hartley and my friend Ryan Newman from the new Disney XD show Zeke and Luther. We waited until about 6:45 and then went to change into nicer clothes in hopes that we would find and get into the after party. Rumor was that the after party was on the 5th floor at Hollywood & Highland (like most other Disney premieres) so we went to scope it out until the movie ended. When the movie was over, we went to the crosswalk where the stars were crossing to go to their limos and ran into Ryan again. We searched high and low with Movie Surfer Michael Peterson to find the party, but it was nowhere to be found. For whatever reason, the party ended up being at the House of Blues on the Sunset Strip. Either way, it was a fun event and probably one of my better fan experiences.
